Racing at HFCC Racing

HFCC Racing organises various races during the season. The Wednesday evening club night is the weekday moment to drive; thanks to the track lighting, testing and racing can continue after sunset. Club races are held on several evenings each year. Anyone with a 1:10 electric model car can take part, provided the car meets the technical regulations. Guest drivers are also very welcome and can register through MyRCM. The HFCC championship includes several racing classes. Drivers can enter one or more classes. National events are also regularly held at our circuit, such as Dutch championship rounds (NOMAC) and the Dutch Tamiya Challenge. Practice is usually possible before races. The 2026 car specifications are shown as a separate accordion directly below the race regulations.

HFCC Racing race regulations

Adopted by HFCC Racing. Applies to all club races and classes.

These regulations apply to all classes and club races.
Races are announced through the HFCC calendar on the website.
A class starts with at least 4 pre-registered drivers.
Every participant drives with a working transponder.

One qualification heat of 30 minutes per class, possibly shorter for evening races. If a driver does not qualify, they start at the back of the grid in registration order.
The three fastest consecutive laps count for the result, taking balance of performance into account; see article 3.
Maximum 10 drivers per heat; with more participants the heat is split.
The best 10 go to the A-final, the next 10 to the B-final, and so on.
Race control may adjust the grouping, for example 11 drivers as 6 in A and 5 in B.

Finals have a maximum of 10 drivers per heat.
Evening races: 3 finals of 5 minutes for all classes.
Day races: 3 finals of 7 minutes. Tamiya Group C drives 1 normal 7-minute final and 1 long 14-minute final.
The best 2 results count. For Group C there is no dropped result; the long final counts double.
Points: winner of the A-final = 1 point, 2nd = 2 points, and so on.
For evening races in 2026, balance of performance applies. On race day, drivers agree a base lap time. Laps below that base time are removed from the results.

Tiebreak:

Result without dropped score.
Qualification result.

HFCC organises individual races and events. Points may be awarded for a day result, but there is no season-long championship standing.

Before finals: battery voltage and weight check.
After the heat: check of other technical points.

Telemetry and gyros are prohibited.
Reversing is prohibited.
Cars must have the correct start number unless otherwise specified.
A drivers' briefing is held before the race; attendance is mandatory.

Race control may, in consultation with the board, grant exemptions for certain classes, for example for beginners.

Maximum 12A charging current and 20A discharging current.
Charging only in a LiPo bag.

During qualifying, marshalling is voluntary.
During finals, marshalling is carried out as usual.

Late or insufficient marshalling - penalty:

First time: warning.
After that: deduction of 1 lap from the best final result.

For individual club events other than regular club races, these regulations may be deviated from. If this is not explicitly stated, the club race regulations apply.

Car specifications 2026

Technical specifications by race format and class.

Any 4WD 1:10 touring car chassis with a maximum width of 190 mm is allowed.
Because of balance of performance, all chassis must be able to meet a minimum lap time to be determined.
Hop-ups and other upgrades are allowed within the restrictions listed below.

Preferably a WEC body or GT body.
Example: Bittydesign LMH 499TBDLMH-190499T Ferrari.
Touring car bodies and rally bodies are not allowed.

Hudy 1/10 Pre-cut slick belted tires right + left (2+2), part number 803041.
RI-36086S Ride Fronti ETS tyres.
Tyre additive and tyre warmers are prohibited.

Robitronic Razer Ten brushless combo 3000kv 3652. FDR: TT-01 max 23T pinion on 58T spur (6.56), TT-02 max 27T pinion on 68T spur (6.55), other touring cars max 6.60 FDR.
Hobbywing Justock G2.1 17.5T max 2500kv; brushless ESC free in blinky mode. FDR: TT-01 max 28T pinion on 55T spur (5.11), TT-02 max 32T pinion on 63T spur (5.12), other touring cars max 5.13 FDR.
For TT-02 the Tamiya 54500 High Speed Gear Set is needed to use 48dp gears.
Brushless silvercan motor such as the Carson Cupmachine or the kit motor from a Tamiya TT-01/TT-02; ESC free.

Motor: Hobbywing Xerun Justock 17.5 Turn G2.1, 30408011 or 30408011-ETS.
ESC: free, provided it is demonstrably in blinky mode.
FDR: minimum 4.0; 4.001 is allowed, 3.999 is not.
Body: all commercially available touring car bodies. Lexan spoilers are allowed; the highest point of the spoiler must be lower than the highest point of the roof.
More than one colour is strongly appreciated.
Battery: LiPo with CE marking, maximum 8.40V at inspection. Maximum 12A charge and 20A discharge.
Weight: outdoor minimum 1320 grams ready to race; indoor minimum 1300 grams ready to race.
Tyres: Hudy 1/10 TC Tires A1-36 Asphalt, part number 803062. Tyre warmers allowed.
Additive: Hudy Tire Gripper Asphalt, part number 106262, or Hudy Tire Gripper.

These alternative rules apply only when the race is declared wet. The organiser may declare qualifying or finals wet.
Motor: 17.5 EFRA list, Carson Dragster 16T or Carson Cupmachine.
ESC: free if demonstrably in blinky mode; Carson Dragster3 allowed. Brushed ESCs are also allowed with the Cupmachine.
Tyres: Schumacher XGSFR.

Motor: Hobbywing Xerun Justock 17.5 Turn G2.1, 30408011 or 30408011-ETS.
ESC: Hobbywing Xerun XR10 G3S Justock, 30112005 or 30112005-ETS.
Firmware: Hobbywing with RPM Limiter 17.5K.
FDR: 4.5; 4.501 is allowed, 4.499 is not.
Body: according to the body list.
Battery: LiPo with CE marking, maximum 8.40V at inspection. Maximum 12A charge and 20A discharge.
Weight: minimum 1250 grams ready to race.
Tyres: Hudy 1/10 Pre-cut slick belted tires right + left (2+2), part number 803041. Tyre warmers allowed.
Additive: Hudy Tire Gripper Asphalt, part number 106262, or Hudy Tire Gripper.

These alternative rules apply only when the race is declared wet.
Motor: 17.5 EFRA list, Carson Dragster 16T or Carson Cupmachine.
ESC: free if demonstrably in blinky mode; Carson Dragster3 allowed. Brushed ESCs are also allowed with the Cupmachine.
Tyres: one extra set of Hudy 803041 FWD tyres is allowed in the rain. This set must be marked before use and may not be used again on a dry track.
Schumacher XG-RAIN: maximum one set per race, to be marked at inspection.

Chassis: TT-01, TT-01E, TT-01R, TT-02, TT-02R and TT-02RR. TT-02S and TT-02SR are not allowed.
Tyres: RI-36086S Ride Fronti ETS preglued. Tyre warmers and tyre additive are not allowed.
Motor/ESC: Carson Dragster Turbo 2500kv C709030.
FDR: TT-01 max 25T pinion on 55T spur (5.72); TT-02 max 29T pinion on 64T spur (5.74). Other gear combinations with a lower ratio are not allowed.
Only metric 0.6 module gears are allowed.
Battery: 2S LiPo 7.4V nominal, maximum 8.40V, or 6-cell 7.2V Sub-C.
Weight and ride height: no minimum.
Body: original Tamiya touring car or GT body based on real car brands, with headlights and rear lights.
Cooling: one fan on the motor and one fan on the ESC allowed; maximum 30 mm on the ESC and 40 mm on the motor.
Hop-ups: options from the allowed chassis variants are allowed. Other Tamiya options are discussed with race control.
Exempt: screws, nuts, ball cups, 0.6 module pinions, ball bearings, servo saver and springs.
3D-printed replacement parts are allowed under conditions within the original function. Ask race control before using other parts.

Tamiya Group C chassis, such as 47484 Mercedes C11 and 47508 Porsche 956. Other Tamiya Group C bodies are also allowed.
No other Group C brands, and no carbon/FRP F1 or F103GT chassis from Tamiya.
Alternative bodies may be allowed if they sufficiently resemble a classic pre-2000 Group C car. In case of doubt, race control decides.
Not allowed: LMP1 bodies where the rear wing flows fully into the body at a steep angle.
Weight: no minimum. Ride height and springs are free.
Motors: C906052 Carson Cupmachine, 53068 Tamiya Sport Tuned, 30408011 HW 17.5T fixed timing G2.1, T49009175 Rush 17.5T, Carson Dragster Turbo 2500kV. Other mild 17.5 brushless motors may be allowed in consultation with race control.
ESC: brushed free; brushless sensored zero timing, such as HW Justock XR10 / G3 / G3S; sensorless Carson Dragster3 or HW 10BL60 or comparable with max 60A rating.
Gear ratio and gears are free.
Tyres: front Tamiya kit tyre or Matrix 45/50 shore; rear Tamiya kit tyre or spare part. Front tyres may be used on Group C or F1/F104 rims, rear tyres on Group C rims.
Rain: rubber F1 tyres such as Ride, Pit Shimizu or Xray F1 rain tyres. With narrower rain tyres, the rear axle may be adjusted to 195-200 mm width inside the body.
The specified rain tyres may also be used in dry conditions.
Battery: 6-cell 7.2V Sub-C or LiPo 7.4V-7.6V; maximum 8.40V before driving.
Allowed hop-ups: 53259, 53277, 53902, 54154, 54166, 54215, 54357, Tamiya aluminium damper, adjustable turnbuckles.
Foam bumper or 3D-printed bumper allowed. No other brand option parts allowed.
Exempt: springs, servo saver, gears, screws, nuts, ball cups and ball bearings.
Spoiler/body: body assembled with all parts and cut according to the manual. No extra holes for cooling or weight reduction. Small gurney flap on the rear wing allowed, maximum 5 mm high.
Tyre additive is allowed. Tyre warmers are not allowed. Everything not mentioned in the regulations is not allowed.

Purpose: drivers without a car in the current classes can join a race day with their own group in a class of their choice.
Not allowed: cars that seriously damage the circuit, cars that are dangerous to participants, or fuel-powered cars.
The general rules still apply, such as being present on time, paying through the usual member/guest system and marshalling for others.
Minimum 4 participants, preferably pre-registered through MyRCM.
The initiator submits the desired class type and expected number of participants to HFCC/race control well before the next club race.
HFCC announces at least one week in advance through the website and/or Facebook which invitational class will be run and which technical regulations apply.

The organiser reserves the right to adjust these regulations when necessary.
